Year after year hope is rekindled and determination gets stronger with every succeeding Business Symposium held. We always aim to pursue the best and to be in parallel with all new issues arising in the economic field. This has always been one of the vital goals of the business symposium as it was three years ago, where is started with the Small and Medium Enterprises, followed by Free Trade and finally Islamic Banking. This year’s symposium focuses on the Economies of the Gulf in general and to what extent did the economic crisis affect the oil & gas sector, the financial sector and the real estate sector. In addition, the Bahrain Vision2030 plays an important role in the symposium, where is aims to clear the structure, principles and goals of this vision to the students. I sincerely wish that all the participants will benefit from these lectures and experts in the field of economics, and enhance their knowledge in the area of business. We all hope that the topics that are to be discussed in the symposium will attract the audience. In conclusion, I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who contributed in the creation of this symposium, from the university’s administration to all the sponsors and guest speakers and last but not least, the organizers for all their efforts and hard work.
